Tiffany Woods from TransVision

Tiffany Woods is the Program Coordinator for TransVision, Tri-City Health Center. She created TransVision along with her Program Manager in 2002. TransVision is the only county funded Transgender Program in Alameda County. A well known transgender leader and activist in the SF Bay Area for 18 years, she has done numerous presentations and trainings for health care providers, Planning Councils, college classes, medical students, and agencies on gender, transgender health issues, transgender & HIV, & transgender language and identity. She presented at the Transgender Institute at the US Conference on AIDS in Ft. Lauderdale in 2008. She has received recognition from numerous community organizations & the Office of AIDS for her work and activism. She is a graduate of the CDC/ASPH Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership (2005) where she attained scholar of the year, and was visiting Faulty assisting in teaching Strategic Planning and Special Populations in 2006 and 2007, and is currently on the Fellows Advisory Committee. She is Associate producer in the soon to be released documentary “TransFrancisco”, as well being profiled in the film. She is also profiled in the Award Wining Photoducumentary, Transfigurations, by Santa Cruz photographer Jana Marcus. The exhibit of groundbreaking black and white portraits of transgender men and women is currently touring the country. Prior to HIV Prevention, she spent 10 years in HIV/AIDS fundraising and over a decade in the film business both in the Bay Area and Los Angeles as an actress and Casting Director. She is a member of the Screen actors Guild. She attended Contra Costa Junior College and City College of San Francisco.
