The San Francisco Transgender Day of Remembrance will take place Sunday, November 20th at 5PM at the Ark of Refuge, 1025 Howard St. between 6th & 7th Sts. in the South of Market neighborhood. This event is open to everyone in the trans communities including all families, friends, and allies.

The Transgender Day of Remembrance was set aside to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. Although not every person memorialized during the Day of Remembrance self-identified as transgender, each was a victim of violence based on bias against transgender people.

The San Francisco TDOR event is made possible by the work of many individuals from diverse backgrounds, as well as the following agencies & organizations: SF Trans March, TEEI, Transgender Law Center, TGIJP, TGSF, Trans:Thrive & API Wellness, Ark of Refuge, and LYRIC.

There will also be ASL translation provided at the event.

Food & Beverages will be provided.

Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends, family and allies.

We hope to see you on November 20th at 5:00 PM.
